Riverwood Resort sits on 20 acres and 1/3rd mile of Gunnison River frontage between the Grand Mesa, Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area (NCA) and the Dominguez-Escalante NCA. By car or RV, Riverwood sits in the middle of the Western Slope of Colorado on 677 Hwy 50 and near Hwy 92 in the City of Delta, Colorado. Guests have the best of both worlds: a connection with nature surrounded by water, wildlife and plenty of trees, but only a half mile to the amenities of Delta including ample dining, minigolf, drive-in and vintage movie theaters, shopping and a large rec center.
Most of the 16 hotel rooms have entries from both the interior of the hotel and private patios that are perfect for your pets or watching the sunrise over the river. The rooms are large and clean. Several units have kitchens. The campground has nightly rentals, a recently renovated bathhouse and new grill station. New amenities are coming with their expansion soon.
Riverwood is your basecamp for adventure, whether that means gold medal fishing the Gunnison, ending a float from the Black Canyon or launching one through the Dominguez-Escalante NCA. Top-rated Colorado wineries, OHV trails, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, mountain biking in Fruita or the Ridgway Area Trails (RAT) are each less than an hour away. For a slightly longer drive, you can enjoy Ouray’s outdoor ice climbing park (winter), warm up in Ridgeway’s Orvis Hot Springs, or ski Powderhorn and Telluride Mountains.
