Meadows of San Juan is in Colorado’s high desert, in the Western-slope (western side of the state). It’s close to some of the area’s most popular attractions: the beautiful Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Ouray Hot Springs, Colorado National Monument, and many of nature’s other beauties and adventures.
The slopes and upscale attractions of famous Telluride are less than one hour away. Nearby, you’ll find white water rafting, four-wheeling, and horse back riding. If relaxation is more your style, there are spectacular views of the breathtaking San Juan Mountains and fabulous star gazing.
Enjoy hiking, fishing, exploring old mines, or attending one of the many annual events in the area.
John Wayne fans and Western junkies will enjoy exploring nearby Ridgway, where parts of the movie “True Grit” were filmed. Also, we suggest visiting the Dennis Weaver Memorial on your way into Ridgway, only 20 minutes from the RV park.
