This peaceful, family-owned wilderness campground is nestled along the tranquil shores of Vallecito Lake and the Pine River. It’s a beautiful drive just 15 miles north of Bayfield and 23 miles northeast of Durango. For over 30 years, this hidden gem has offered guests a chance to reconnect with nature, unwind, and enjoy the simple pleasures of the outdoors with family and friends.
Owners Jan and Bob Davis purchased the property in 1995 with a vision of creating a place where families, friends, and nature-lovers could feel right at home—and that legacy continues to this day.
Cast a line into the Pine River, paddle across the calm waters of Vallecito Lake, hike or bike scenic trails, or simply relax by the fire with a good book! Guests can launch a boat using the paved boat ramp. Five Branches is ready to be your home base for adventure or for doing absolutely nothing at all.
