This KOA is aptly named since it’s located next to the west entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, nested in the beautiful mountain town of Grand Lake. It’s a quiet place to camp in the mountains.
Grand Lake is a classic when it comes to mountain towns. With its wooden sidewalks and wonderful restaurants, it also offers lake swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, motor sports, fishing and of course the magnificent Rocky Mountain National Park with hundreds of miles to hike and explore. Natural hot springs are nearby.
And if you want a star show, the Milky Way in all her splendor is easily visible from the campground.
You just might also see some MOOSE right at the campground.
This RV park was formerly known as Elk Creek Campground Grand Lake, and switched to a KOA in 2023. More links and updated images will be added as they become available.
